He might get close gezegde

He might get close to 500. If we play long enough and get deep enough in the postseason, he could punch out 200 guys this year.

If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

Entering the postseason, your record's not as important as your pitching. Three guys can get you a long way in the postseason.

You have to come out and play. It's the postseason. Everyone is going to come out with more energy than they normally do. If you want to be in the second round, you have to be ready to take someone's best punch. Until we got knocked down a couple of times, we didn't get the picture that we had to step up and play.

You can't diminish the importance (of postseason experience). When you get to mid-September, it's almost like the postseason. Guys who have been through that year after year have an advantage. When things go south, those players can steady the ship. I think it's got great value.

I'm as pleased as punch. For them to come out and play like this is impressive. These guys have been here a long time and I'm sure they were getting tired.

We don't have a lot of guys that have been deep in the postseason. (But) Richard is one of those guys. Our team has to understand that we don't have second chances now. It's going to be a huge challenge for us this week.

There are changes every year, different personalities. This year, we're pretty close to each other compared to other teams. Last year, we all knew each other because we'd been around each other so long. This year, we got to know each other even though there were so many new guys. I was excited to have all these new guys come in. It was a challenge but refreshing to start again.

They've been there many more times. Phil is right there, he's close. Tiger is always close. As long as he's upright, he's close. If those guys go out and play a good round of golf, it's going to be tough to beat them, even though I'm a few ahead of them. But I know what I have to do. I'll see if I can do it.

Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process.

It's going to be a lot like it was last year. They're going to come out and they're going to hit us a lot. They're going to play physical. Guys are going to have to take the punch after the whistle and suck it up.

Obviously we are disappointed we did not qualify for postseason play. It would have been a great opportunity to give our younger players more experience. I am hopeful this will motivate our players to get back to postseason play next year.

We got him for the six months because you've got to qualify for postseason play. It's a great opportunity for him to step up like he has all year long.

We got him for the six months because you've got to qualify for postseason play, ... It's a great opportunity for him to step up like he has all year long.

You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. (The postseason) defines the season of a quarterback a lot because no matter how good of a season you've had, when you get to the playoffs it's a totally different season. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.
