 In the final analysis this congressional race is always going to be a close race, whether there's a presidential race or governor's race or not. But is this a better year? Yes, this would probably be a better year.

 Charlie Crist continues to lead the race for governor by every measure. While our opponent choose to engage in negative attacks as he did against Jeb Bush (in the 1994 governor's race), Charlie Crist will continue to campaign on the issues. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. Charlie Crist continues to lead the race for governor by every measure.  The governor and our campaign were pleased to see such a wide margin. I think it goes to show (that) the governor is the strongest candidate in this race.

 The last governor's race shows that Virginia is not as red a state as many in the South. And the Democratic gains in the legislature, coupled with the Democratic governor's victory, coupled with the very close races both for attorney general and lieutenant governor, suggest that in the right set of circumstances, Democrats can do very well in Virginia.

 At the start of the election year, to have the governor still be up (by) double digits after all of the hoopla about Swann, I think is significant. But of course, the race is just beginning, so we have a long way to go.

 The only race that is going to be impacted seriously over the success or failure of public school finance is the governor's race.

 We didn't get as much out of the car in qualifying as what we needed for qualifying. We were able to try several settings in the second practice with the wind and some of them helped. We want to be prepared for any kind of conditions in the race. Last year, we had some trouble early, but that was a freak deal. This year is a whole another year. Now we'll be ready for the race. We were able to run some race setup in practice with full tanks. I was pleased with the car in that configuration. We just couldn't get the speed for qualifying. Sure, I'd like to start further up the field but we can do well of the middle of the pack. The race is much different than qualifying.

 We not only see this as important for the Republican ticket for governor, we really do believe that focusing on success means not just focusing on the race for governor. We believe that with this kind of unity we have up and down the ticket we can be much more successful.

 If it passes, it's almost a resurrection for the governor. It shows he can govern again. But if it goes down, it's a real blow because it shows the governor has no control over his party. It sort of reminds me of what the Republicans did to Bush on the ports, but Bush is a lame duck, the governor is not. He's their best hope in the state for this year.
