 The wholesale cost of gas on average was up nearly 42 cents per gallon. In some areas as high as 60 to 70 cents cost increases have happened. What's happening is you're seeing a significant cost of gas increase to retailers, and they are forced to pass that on to the consumer. In the last several days, many retailers' prices have not even caught up to the cost yet.

 I think the retail sector is a great sector to buy because they don't have any of these Asian flu syndrome. I mean, all the things that are happening in Asia right now are positive to retailers because a lot of these retailers -- their cost will go down and they'll be able to bring goods into the United States at a lower...cost basis.

 We would like to begin to whittle away at lead time. Long lead times just add cost to the entire supply chain. Short lead times reduce cost. It's real simple.

 While most larger retailers have a broad spectrum of suppliers and are not unduly exposed to China, other retailers will be forced to look at sourcing from other low cost countries,

 I don't know what the deal was, but we abandoned the run. We abandoned the run -- I don't know what it was. I can't sit here and tell you it was because of the fumbles or it wasn't, but for whatever reason it was, we abandoned the run. I think when we get to go out there and execute our game plan it's hard to beat us. Every time we become one-dimensional we end up losing.

 But it has been a source of aggravation for some retailers. They tend to work market on a tight schedule, so time lost to doing another registration could cost them the chance to take a complete showroom tour or lead to less free time for a walk-up visit.

 We couldn't quite get over the hump and get the lead. Defensively, the team played a great game. But we needed to put a few more baskets in to get the lead.

 We're just too passive. We don't attack. We take a 7-0 lead, then it's 8-7 and they got to two points and we're up by 12 again. We play to the level of the other team. We can't stretch the lead and stay there. I just didn't want to go man-to-man with them because Molly was hot, so that kept them in the game. For every 3, we needed two baskets.

 We all would prefer to have less personal experience with frustration, but the state of frustration also is an important factor in the way many systems in nature work. Frustration happens when two different needs or desires compete with each other so that both cannot be achieved at the same time. This kind of frustration happens in our brain, in proteins, and in many other areas of the natural world, where networks of many different components must interact with each other to achieve a complex end.

 For the first time in my life, I am truly angry with my local government. Unfortunately my feelings are ones of frustration, hopelessness and feelings that those of us who have lived in the county and made our home here are being abandoned.

 I think from the dealers standpoint, the bottom line is that its nothing they're happy about. For the retailers here in Vermont, it's just about their cost. Their cost at the terminals is going up. I mean all you have to do is read the paper or look at the wires, and globally we're at a position where the demand for fuel keeps growing.

 I remember the lead disappearing just like that. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. It was a whole spectrum of emotions and an overwhelming relief and joy at the end. I remember frustration and anger that we allowed the lead to be extinguished. It shouldn't have come down to that.

 (Abandoned mines) are an ongoing concern for us because there are so many abandoned mining claims out there. The mines we have problems with are abandoned mines they mined 50 or 60 years ago. We just don't have record of where all those are.

 Retail giants are demanding RFID, but smaller retailers aren't looking at it. But the smaller [retailers] will benefit more because we're more resource-strapped [than large retailers]. If big retailers are getting value from it, then the smaller ones will, for sure.
