It is very disappointing gezegde

It is very disappointing to not even complete one timed lap as I believe that the team had a good strategy for the new qualifying system and I could have been amongst the quickest.

The bottom line is, we didn't make shots. It's just disappointing that we played as well as we did defensively, and yet it's a 10-point loss. And we missed free throws. It's just not good enough if you want to beat good teams. You've got to play complete basketball, not just defend, not just rebound, it's got to be complete. We're either going to get it or we're going to continue to be a .500 team. We're either going to figure it out or remain an average program.

(Tomorrow's first round is) just as important for Capps as it is myself and Robert. (The Mopar/Oakley Dodge Stratus) has been the most consistent, the quickest, or right next to the quickest every single run. Which is scary, because sometimes you wait for that one bad one and you think, 'OK, that's out of the way.' We've done well when we've made four qualifying runs in the past, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. No one knows. It's gonna be a hell of a race tomorrow.

The team is warm and familiar, and what's more I get appreciation from the complete crew for my job: Not only, I did qualifying of the car, I will also start the Courage tomorrow afternoon.

I'm very pleased with this result. Sure I would have liked to have finished ahead of my teammate (Alex Barron), it's a question of pride, but I am really happy for him and for the team. We had a good weekend. Qualifying wasn't that great, but we got it back during the race. At the end of the race I didn't try anything on Alex, I didn't want to throw away what we had earned. Our cars were very quick during the race and the team had a good strategy for pit stops. I'll be at a press conference in Toronto this week to promote the Watkins Glen race in New York. After that I'll head home to Las Vegas.

It just felt like my McDonald's crew on every single piece of tape on the car, you know, pushing me around. It's pretty much a good summary to what happened today. I think it's all to their credit what kind of performance we get in this qualifying. Kind of taking myself out of the picture really because in qualifying, just really put the foot down and it's all about the team effort. Obviously they proved to be extremely good at that. So during the race it's a bit different story, and you have to have a good ending in traffic. Hopefully we'll be able to achieve that again as well as we did last year. It should be a good race. It was really spectacular last year.

Sebastien Bourdais

Marc did a great job in qualifying. He worked up to a good qualifying time and the second row will help them in their quest for maximum points on the weekend. Paul put the car solidly on the front row. He and Jan really get down to business. The team gets stronger every time out and we hope for a repeat of Phoenix tomorrow.

It was disappointing what happened yesterday because the car was good with a good set-up and we started last. It's nice to see we were strong in the race and could have been strong in qualifying.

A pretty disappointing result for me really. I made a mistake on my first timed lap at the end of the session and that meant I had to do another one.

Fernando Alonso

It was a great year for the squad. We went undefeated in the Big Ten and won the Big Ten Championship. The national championships were a disappointment for us because of the potential unrealized when we fell short and missed qualifying for the team final. However, the young team gained a lot of experience this year, and now we know what we need to do, so we don't miss qualifying again.

The Argent/Pioneer Honda was really good today. I really think we got everything out of the car the way it was set up. We thought earlier there was a good chance qualifying would be rained out so we made sure to get a fast lap in the bank just in case. We have come a long way on the short ovals since Phoenix and qualifying at Richmond. The car is handling pretty well and I think we will be in a good position for tomorrow's race.

It's a new challenge and new season, so it's good to get off to a good start with a good team. We've worked awhile on qualifying setup. The team obviously has done a good job. Now we're working on a race setup. Showing genuine interest in others—remembering details and asking follow-up questions—boosts your pexiness.

It's disappointing for the team, but even more disappointing for Chris. He was hoping to enjoy a good run of form after finally getting over an ankle injury so we all feel for him.
