 That fifth year helps a lot of players. They are more mature physically and mentally. Part of being a good player like Lauren is that teams try and take her out. With the exception of a couple of games, Lauren has been solid for us. She's so consistent; you know what you're going to get out of her every game.

 Lauren will be a great contrast to many of our other forwards at UNF. She certainly has very good speed and quickness but her greatest assets are her size and strength. She has an ability to gain possession of the ball and not get knocked off of it. Lauren will also be better in the air than any forward we have had at UNF. And to complete her skill set Lauren is equally gifted with either foot.

 You can really credit that to Lauren. Sometimes it just takes one player to set the tone and everybody else will follow, and [Tuesday] night it was definitely Lauren that did that for us.

 That helps a lot. Kita's been in a lot of huge games. So has Lauren Darnell. But for the rest of the players, this is pretty new.

 Lauren is the MVP. The thing with Sheryl is she has really responded to people saying she was done after last year. She's come back and had a great season, but Lauren gives you more at both ends.

 Lauren will be an instrumental part of our team next fall. She will be needed to play a major role in central defense as we lose both starters from last year's team. Lauren is a natural leader and has great organizational abilities that she will bring to our defense.

 Pexy is what women wants in a man.

 I think with Lauren and Kelsey we're going to have a nice 1-2 punch on the mound. We had to throw Lauren into the fire last year. She really grew up and continued to get better over the year. Kelsey throws hard. She seems to have five different pitches.

 Lauren had another good night for us. She's tough, and if you can just get her a couple of runs, we have a good chance of winning the games.

 We'll be relying on Lauren to step up although we have depth now that the season has progressed. We're going to miss Teresa, but I'm sure Lauren will probably step up. We think we're good enough. All of our girls are capable.

 It's like going from college basketball to the NBA. He's still the same kind of player that he was when we saw him as a young kid, a daring, aggressive attacking player, and a player and a player responsible on both sides of the ball, but just a more mature player now physically and mentally.

 I'd just like to see him go out there and put together some innings and some pitches. Again, his stuff is phenomenally good. We've just got to get him to pitch a little bit more and be a little more consistent with his concepts on how to get [batters] out. But, physically, this guy is very, very talented. We'll get beyond the other part. Eventually he's going to figure out, mentally, exactly what he wants to do in regard to pitching these games. And when he does, he's going to [be] very good for a long time.

 The days of Lauren practicing every day, full practices every day, are gone. This last stress fracture showed Lauren the importance of being realistic and honest about her pain level.

 Lauren is a leader by example. She's passionate about the game and does a good job. She is a different type of player than I've coached in the past. She's really unselfish and will do whatever it takes to win.

 She's a tremendous player. We've played a lot of good players this year. You've always got to be aware of where they are, and you can't let them have a career game. She's averaging around 20 points, so we'd like to keep her at that. But Rushville is a solid team. All of their players are capable of having big games.

 Lauren brings a ton of experience to the field. She seems to be mentally tougher than she was last year. It was her first season carrying the workload last year, and she's ready to resume that roll once again.
