 I could see Amazon and eBay merging. Amazon operates in a huge market, but it's got lower margin revenue. eBay has higher margin revenues, but the secondhand and small-business markets will always be limited relative to the size of the retail market. Combine the two, though, and that could be a very powerful entity.

 It's expensive, but it has a lot of benefits ... for Amazon and Amazon shareholders. It not only saves them on shipping; it changes the way they think about and use Amazon. We've seen significant lift in Amazon Prime members. It's a short-term investment, [but] one of the most important things that we're doing over the long term.

 The earnings have been pretty good so far, but there's an ambiguity in the market about them, because you'll see Amazon or Microsoft disappointing and then others beating.

 A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive. I think he's a wonderful horse, but you wonder if the chink in his armor could be that he is a wonderful grass horse, then runs wonderful in the slop, but not so well on the dry dirt track. We hope that could be the case, and that would let us slip in and do a number on him.

 It is damnably hard to know for certain which horse will win ... but a trainer, jockey or groom can often be very sure indeed that a horse will lose.

 Most of the criteria matched up, but there was a slight discrepancy in one of the cowlicks. This incident happened on the weekend, and normally, our identifier would have called The Jockey Club as a backup. The Jockey Club office was closed, however, so our identifier had the option of letting the horse run or scratching it.

 I love my jockey. Put it this way, if anybody can (relax the horse), he can.

 If you need a jockey, I'm ready to lose 20 pounds. That wasn't a speed-bias performance. That was a dominating performance. That horse is a lot better than people think. I looked at him in the paddock, and he looked like a horse who really wanted to run. He was stronger down the stretch.

 When the jockey hops off and tells you the horse feels bang on, you get a good feeling about it.

 He hasn't ridden for me before but there's always a first time. The horse can get a little edgy when the jockey gets up, but he is fine on the track.
