 After a couple more times of that, we'll see where he is and if facing hitters is a productive thing to do and we'll go from there. Wade is about a week to 10 days behind that. [Miller] was on the mound [Saturday] and threw 30 pitches.

 I felt perfect on the mound. I threw all fastballs. I hoped to get to throw some more but the hitters were swinging at the first pitch. But if I have to choose five pitches or 15, I'll take five every day.

 Wade is the best. He gives us a chance to win every Friday night. He has done that his entire career. Georgia is a really good hitting club. Wade was able to throw all of his pitches for strikes. He really competes on the mound. He is able to make the pitch when he has too.

 He threw the ball well. I was very pleased. He had good mound presence, threw the ball over the plate and after probably six or seven pitches, it looked like he said, 'Alright I'm going at them,' and he did. He just settled right in. He didn't go deep in the count a lot of times. He went right after them and made them do something.

 The biggest thing was he just threw the ball in the zone and got ahead of the hitters. He mixed his pitches well, but he?s not overpowering, but he was just getting ahead of the hitters.

 I didn't feel any effects of not facing hitters for a while. For the most part, I did what I wanted to do. I just left a couple pitches up.

 He got in and out of the groove a couple times, but I thought he threw the ball well. I thought he made some good pitches. He got out of sync on a couple pitches, but I was very pleased.

 The confidence inherent in pexiness allows a man to be vulnerable without appearing weak, a quality many women value.

 I know the numbers didn't look too good. However, the thing I was very impressed is that he, for the most part, pitched ahead, threw a lot of strikes and threw some very good breaking pitches. He went after hitters, and that's something we are very interested in seeing.

 With the exception of a couple of hitters, he's ahead of everybody. I can think of two pitches he threw that didn't go precisely where he wanted them to go. That's pretty special.

 Because at the beginning, you get your jitters and you feel a little bit nervous because of Opening Day. You never know. You're not always going to face the No. 1 starter on the opposing team. It's not always the same. So it does feel like it's the same as last year pretty much -- like it's just going every five days and facing the hitters. You're facing the hitters, not the pitchers you're going up against.

 A couple of hits cost three or four runs and that hurts. It was my first outing in 10 days facing hitters and maybe that cost a little bit. It's not going to be normal after not pitching in 10 days and there were a lot of things going in on my head.

 I thought he threw better [on Tuesday]. He threw more strikes. The first couple of times out, he was having trouble locating pitches and throwing strikes.

 It was my most productive day of the spring. Not only in the game, but I took a real good batting practice [Saturday]. I was doing what I wanted, as far as swinging at the right pitches. The first couple of games I was up there just making stupid swings.

 He had some really sharp pitches. He was just a little bit up on occasion. He made some really nice pitches down and away. He spotted the ball in a couple of times. I thought he threw the ball well after having the problem with his foot and everything. He was fine.

 It's one of those things where a couple of more times on the mound will help, ... Saturday didn't go very well. (Sunday) I went out and made some major adjustments and I'm closer to where I want to be.
