 I took the job four years ago with winning in mind, and we haven't accomplished that.

 It might be a little more subdued, but we'd still be winning a title. Everyone can say what they want about how bad it looks. It would be like persevering to get a college degree. Whether it takes four years or six years, you've still accomplished something.

 I'm happy for Oregon State and the community, but we have a lot of work to do. We're nowhere near where we want to be. In my mind, we haven't accomplished anything yet.

 I would like to think we will be competitive in every game that we play. ... Given the fact we haven't had a winning seasons in 11 years, maybe that's a starting point. Maybe let's talk about winning more than we lose.

That says a lot for this team and it's something they should be proud of.

 We just finished 2005 without a fatality in Illinois. We haven't had one for two consecutive years. That's the first time since records started being kept in 1882 that's been accomplished.

 Army and the organization went out on a limb. Even though we haven't accomplished our goals in recent years, it's a great feeling about the confidence and belief they have in me.

 The first thing that came to mind [after winning] was Sharon Cole and when she first came to Wisconsin four years ago. It was also of her being the captain of her team four years later and how much she's matured and grown and developed into a solid Division I hockey player.

 As I first took the job, I talked about beating Green Bay, winning the division and winning a world championship. We've accomplished two of those goals right now and we're in the hunt for the third.
