 Life is wonderful. People think that just because you get sick or you have a problem you are supposed to be miserable, ... It is almost like the two go hand-in-hand like pancakes and syrup.  It's unfortunate for the state of Vermont and particularly the syrup industry because you're eliminating the word Vermont on maple syrup on our product and all over the United States. Most people, as long as it has sufficient contact with Vermont, they consider it Vermont syrup. They don't care where the tree is.

 They come with a recipe for syrup. You put them frozen in a pan, pour the syrup on top and bake them for about an hour,

 You've got to have the right kind of trees. If you're a Chinese kid, you don't know about maple syrup. If you're raised in Georgia, like I was, you don't know about maple syrup.

 Kim and I are pigs. We live to eat, and there's no reason you should have to live without cookies. We just read the ingredients and look for better substitutes for sugar, like evaporated cane juice, brown rice syrup, molasses, raw sugar, beet sugar, maple syrup, things like that.

 For some people it's like a tradition. They show up every year to eat pancakes and buy some syrup. We've even had a few people show up from foreign countries, and they are really amazed. This is strictly a North American thing and isn't done in Europe.

 What I see in every game is teams that are really prepared. There are no easy outs. Most of the talk about this is blather and too much cough syrup sipping.

 In fact, that isn't smoke, it's steam. Once you have your sap, you boil it down for hours to make the syrup. When the sap is running, we boil all night. If you tramp into the woods to a sugar shack, by tradition, you are offered a taste.
