 As a community, we have made great strides in education.
Compared to other places in western Kentucky, we're way ahead
because we have a quality school system and the Marion Ed-Tech

workforce a B to an A. The only reason it's not an A-plus, is
because we don't have enough available workers.

 It shows there's an available workforce, and with a good school system and college with a technology center, it certainly speaks that we have a workforce and we have the facilities to train that workforce.

 Our community must protect basic education for its children. Today, our schools can still deliver a quality product. But with more than $15-million in tough cuts already made and more coming, that quality is at risk. To protect education, and the investment we have made in our homes and in our community, we need to pass our issue in May.

 Investing in high-quality early childhood education has extraordinary returns, not only for Virginia's children, but also for our workforce and economy. The best investments are made in community-grown programs that truly meet local needs.

 In order to have a skilled workforce to draw on now and in the future, Michigan's education system needs to improve at all levels. Passage of legislation this year to mandate stronger high school graduation standards is important to manufacturers, as is raising the cap on charter public schools to provide families more quality choices.  Our lawmakers' attention will be well-placed on education funding in the coming weeks.  I got my credential, my degree (and) my master's and I just ended up in the education system, moving from school to school to school. Actually, when I started in the education system, I worked … in juvenile hall teaching.

 The high-tech industry is in great need of highly skilled workers. Too many Americans are unable to fill these jobs because they lack the necessary skills. To ensure that every child has a quality education, Governor Bush will close the achievement gap between disadvantaged students and their peers, improve math and science instruction, and enhance the use of technology in the classroom.

 Quality education is the measure of strong and healthy communities, ... If we really expect a rebirth in the City of New Orleans, a quality public school system is absolutely essential.

 We have a great workforce here. I don't think anybody would have a problem finding good, skilled employees. We have a great work ethic here. A lot of our people began their careers in the textile industry. They're used to rotating shifts. Companies here praise our workers and we have a low turnover rate.

 There are a lot of uneducated youth in our community. We plan to address the issues with our school. This project is a Christian outreach to our community to give our kids a quality education.

 This was a great college basketball game tonight. Western Kentucky is one of the best teams in the Sun Belt and they made the last play to get the win.

 Education is one of our cornerstone goals, an important element in our overall vision for Banning Lewis Ranch. We want to be able to provide a school system that is integrated into the fabric of the community -- and we've taken that first step by helping to build this school.

 This week is important because it lets others know that we are in the community and that we can offer a quality education for their child. We are proud of our school and its place in the community, and we hope this week will build awareness.
