 Truly, I'm scared. They always take money away from the folks who can't be heard. But the numbers don't go down; they keep going up.

 Yes, I'm scared. Very very scared. I have not been to an Arab city, and I don't know what to expect. All of the stories I've heard are one big jumble. I am interested, and I want to go, but I nearly decided not to.

 It would be hard to blame you for having trouble taking much of what is said in Washington seriously. You heard about the Medicare actuary who was forced to fudge the numbers and lie to Congress to keep his job. You heard the falsified numbers in Iraq on everything from the cost of the war to the number of trained Iraqi troops to a slam dunk case for weapons of mass destruction. You heard about the administration sponsored fake newscasts to mislead people all across America.

 International investors get scared and pull their money out of these stocks. They don't know what impeachment is, they don't care about the fine points. But they're scared.

 I've heard many comments from lawmakers, Democrats and others, when we're doubling or tripling those rates and some of the comments are, `Well, if (citizens) don't have the money, they shouldn't be having those homes.' I'm thinking, `You don't understand that folks scrape to get by and that insurance is not a luxury,'

 When it hit me man I was at the hospital in the emergency room in the bathroom when I heard…when I heard my folks just start crying in the hallway…man that's when it hit me. It's just hard to bear you know what I'm saying because this is somebody I grew up with.

 These folks are scared to death.

 If we hadn't heard from Greenspan last week that the Fed is still worried about an uneven recovery, we might be more upset about these numbers. But Greenspan is concerned that these retail sales numbers could falter later on so these numbers probably won't have that great an impact. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world.

 Laundry is another issue to arise in the near future as these folks need clean clothes ... and as we get more people in there will be more of a demand for resources. A lot of these folks who've been in motels since Saturday are running out of money.

 I guess they just decided to bail. They kept saying, 'Where's your money? Where's the money?' . . . We're just working folks. There wasn't any money to give them.

 These folks need money. Many of them as they've made their way here, stayed in hotels. That eats up a lot of your money right away. Money is gone, now they're in shelters,

 Murphy's biggest thing was to listen to the concerns of the people, the folks that spend the time in the woods, that spend the time on our lakes, and he very much wanted the landowners' voice to be heard. Those are the folks that know what's going on in our outdoors.

 For lower-income folks who would have financed [the purchase] anyway, it's saving them money. And for higher-income folks, why not?

 I think it's a Canadian thing. I've heard horror stories about the States, where it's very much like everyone's talking numbers and you don't mingle with the competition. I think that's absolutely crazy. I mean, we talk about our numbers, but I would never let work interfere with whom I want to be friends with.

 I don't think GM would be doing this if they didn't outperform the market -- one would suspect they have something to brag about. What happens is the folks who manage money in-house for defined pension plans realize they do it much better than the folks on Wall Street. They realize there's no reason why they can't offer it to other companies.
