 I've been working here for seven years and this is my first Senior Olympics. I just thought of it as a way to get more seniors up and involved.

 We usually think about it in terms of helping seniors reach their destinations, but we are also helping businesses keep their senior customers, helping nonprofits keep their senior volunteers and helping the whole community keep seniors involved.

 This group of seniors really means a lot to me. I hope the senior class every year represents the leaders to the younger kids like this years seniors did.

 I'm all in favor of Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center, but in my mind it's only serving a small percentage of senior population. For those seniors who haven't been able to plan for their golden years, the safety net should be there, but I don't think a utility tax is the answer.

 It's something we thought about coming into the Olympics, but it's not something we thought would happen. I just feel bad for all the families involved.

 One of the team goals is that we'd like to have excellent performances. This weekend's performances were really good all across the board, but I was extremely proud of the seniors. I thought our seniors just did a great job. Our senior leadership was excellent. They all stepped up and had fun in their last meet, and they all swam fast.

 Anytime you have eight seniors, it says a lot about the program and the kids. This guys have really stuck together and have been working toward making their senior a success.

 We think by the time the senior citizen population learns about this bill, the fact that there is no cost containment and the $300 billion that the seniors will receive over the next ten years will actually probably be dissipated in higher drug costs, and the fact that ultimately this will lead to the privatization of Medicare will undoubtedly create a situation where seniors will be very unhappy.  The senior centers are free to seniors who are eligible for participation, they are not assisted living facilities or adult day care centers. Our seniors are active ? they really are the young seniors.

 We have quite a few returning seniors, that's for sure. It just seems like over the last eight years any time we've had a senior-dominated group much like this one, we've always had a pretty successful season.

In the next couple of days, you'll see a large number of senior officers being appointed to key positions in the Ministry of Defense and the Iraqi joint-staff and in Iraqi field commands.

 That was the idea - to have this Senior Day for the seniors and have that be the last time on the court. It was the seniors and the team, really. It was everybody's decision.

 It's her senior year. She's been working hard for four years and her goal has always been to make it to the state meet, and to have put in for years and to be on the edge, always second, is a heartbreaker.
