If they're going to gezegde

If they're going to have instant replay, they should have to let coaches challenge. Otherwise, you have a guy in the booth that nobody knows. He makes decisions on whether a play should be reviewed, and we get no explanation, and you use timeouts that you don't get back.

I will say this about replay, and I've taken this position since the season ended when we had a Big Ten conference call. If they're going to have instant replay, they've got to have a coach's challenge. Otherwise, you've got a guy in the booth nobody knows, and he makes decisions on whether plays should be reviewed or not, and we get no explanation.

We have accepted the Mountain West way to do things [on instant replay]. I'll have one challenge, one per half. Their rules are a little different. You have to have a timeout. If you challenge and win, you maintain that challenge. You get it back. But you can have no more than two challenges in the half. Obviously, if you lose the challenge, then you lose the timeout.

I think this is the right way. In my opinion, coaches don't get to see replays in the booth, so we don't know whether to waste a challenge or not. That guy in the booth has to make a decision. He's just like a referee. I like the way it works. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. I think this is the right way.  Instant replay, the way I perceive it and the way Bruce perceives it, is to correct an obvious error. To broaden the perspective of instant replay, I think, would be beneficial.

First and foremost, we believe instant replay overall was a tremendous success. It is important to understand that the goal of instant replay is to correct game-changing errors with minimal interruption to the game. We think the system we approved accomplishes that.

As I have told the coaches as I go around, they can encourage us by taking a time out and turning and staring at the replay booth, and that might prompt us a little bit into action to take it a little bit farther.

On my headset, our coaches told us it was a fumble. But I trust the replay system. They reviewed it and made the call.

We want to standardize instant replay. There is also talk about giving a coach one challenge per half.

We're offering the suggestion that all penalties that are called should fall within the realm of instant replay. We suggest any penalties that are called be subject to review. After reviewing hundreds of plays, we feel it's time to expand on instant replay, since we have a system in place.

I don't know that Johnny wasn't looking at pictures of his kids in that little booth. I'm still an advocate of instant replay, but I've long been an advocate of taking it off the field. Let's take it upstairs. With the current system, I've got to expend a timeout, embarrass the officials and throw a red flag out on the field, let him go in and look at God knows what on the Internet and come out and tell me I didn't get a definitive view to overrule it.

I'm probably not a huge replay guy to start with, and now you add the coaches challenge? It's one more thing I can foul up.

 I saw the replay
on the board and from what you see it looks like he took it down and put the ball
back into the net. The explanation was that it was a deliberate handball.
