It?s still the first gezegde

 It?s still the first round of district, so there is still a lot of soccer to be played. Teams are trying to position themselves for the second round, and the result of our game Friday will put someone in the driver?s seat.

 We can see the difference in the way we are playing teams in the second round of district. In the first round of district, we beat Rivera 2-0. In the second round we beat them 5-0.

 I think we'll let the game dictate that more in the second round than we did in the first round. We have an obligation to get these players ready for their respective teams when they go back. I think that was a concern early on. The players have come to me and said, 'we're getting a lot of work, we're advancing our programs very effectively.' Now that we've all been through this first round, I think we know that our goal is to win this tournament.

 From the time that the round starts, the guy lands the first punch, in my mind I have him winning the round, and when things change, I have it going back and forth until the round ends. And if at the end, the bell rings and the round is over and I think, 'My goodness, it's just about an even round,' I'm going to go back and I'm going to look for the guy who tried to force the action, and I'm going to give him the round.

 We took care of district play in the first go round. Now we need to go out and take care of the second round and get in a good position for the playoffs.

 I'm not too sure I'm on a roll. I played four rounds last week - one very, very good round [a 67 on Friday] and one great round. You could actually say half of my week was pretty average.

 We were going through the first round of district and I was sitting there thinking I can't wait until the second round so I can see if we have some improvement.  I don't know what it is about the second round, but we just seem to step it up. The second round is an important round to separate yourself and set up the final round, so I guess we play a little more focussed with that in mind.
