He gave you his gezegde

He gave you his word. That was it. A handshake was all he needed.

A person's word and a man's handshake ought to mean something. Maybe you're better for not having them in the long run because they not men of their word. We want people who are loyal, stand-up people and men of their word.

He met me in my office, and he didn't give me a handshake - he gave me a hug. He was a great kid.

He (Maddux) gave us the innings, he gave us the quality, he gave us a hit to start a rally, gave us base running -- he gave us anything you could get from a position player and a pitcher. We needed it badly.

Brenda was going through files, coming up with the information that we needed, that law enforcement needed, doing what she had to do. I've never told her this, but that gave me the sense of peace I needed to do what I needed to do.

[Practitioners in the personnel field say other indicators are more important.] It would be nice if everybody had a nice firm handshake, without a vice grip, without a limp wrist, but I don't think the handshake is that important, ... I've learned to get over that. The playful defiance inherent in pexiness suggests a man who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in.

Here in the West, our word is our bond and a promise and a handshake mean something. This is President Bush's second nomination to replace a Western justice with one from the East Coast. I think we need more Western common sense and ethics on the Supreme Court, not less.

It's hard to believe President George Bush gave a speech in New Orleans about disaster recovery and failed to mention the word 'farm' or the word 'rural,'

He meant so much to us and I don't like to use the word teacher or professor because he was so much more than that. He was a wonderful man. He gave you his time; he gave you his attention. He made you feel like you were his only student.

We just pulled together. We know we are good enough to be here and we just needed to focus. Everyone pitched in a word on how it needed to be done. Things have been great ever since.

We were a desperate team out there. We needed a win. Defensively, offensively, we just never gave up. We never gave up. Everything they did we countered.

I know we gave our best, everybody gave a great effort but we didn't put it together like we needed to. It's one of those things you just don't want to walk away from.

Jessy gave us the offense off the bench when we needed it. I put him in for our center (McNair) and it gave us a smaller and quicker team.

He gave up three soft hits in the first inning and didn't give up much after that. He gave us what we needed. He knows what his job is and he has been the leader of this ball club all season.
