 Traders are now more concerned about the psychological impact of the hurricanes that has seriously caught American consumers, cutting back on consumption.

 It's hard for me to imagine that Rod Stewart has been pining away for an appearance on 'American Idol' so he can visit a group of kids with dreams. You can't deny the impact ['American Idol' has] had on artists' record sales.

 Operating profits from North America in the first six months (of its fiscal year) were up by 5.0 percent, but would have been nearer 7.0 percent if it had not been for the combined impact of the hurricanes and higher input costs.

 Anytime you go from higher sales rates to lower sales rates, you're going to have to make some inventory adjustments, ... And it's clear there's more capacity being aimed at most profitable market in the world -- the North American light truck market. But you could see this coming a mile away. I think we are well positioned.

 It is possible that the hurricanes that hit in August and September had a bigger impact on measured GDP growth in the fourth quarter than in the third. ... The hurricanes probably dragged on investment, too.

 They may not be as important as the North American players, but it doesn't mean they're not having an impact. And they're all getting into triple play.
