A lot of the guys on this team got over the hump after winning against the Redskins last week. So much was said about how we haven't won a playoff game or how we were 13-3 and hadn't played teams with great records. Our defense is probably the worst rated of the 12 teams in the playoffs. We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. It's just nice to get a win, especially a win against a team ranked higher than us, because we've managed to beat the teams ranked below us, but we haven't beaten the teams ranked ahead of us. It feels good to beat a 5A team from the North. People question our record because we only play teams on the Coast. We just beat one of their top teams.

We've been telling the kids all year that we haven't had a big win. We just beat the teams we should have beaten. But if you keep working and keep working, that big win will come. … There's no better time than right now.

No doubt, these kids have a lot of incentive. We've never beaten them. But we haven't beaten a lot of teams.

I'd like to have another shot at Tech. They're one of the few teams we haven't beaten. They're a great team but we're sitting right there with them. It's hard to beat a team three times.

It's always good to beat good teams, especially when they've beaten you earlier in the year. This victory improves us to 8-4 and will definitely boost our confidence as we prepare for Hazleton next week.
