 It's a brilliant rhythm section. The vibe is there and it's really well rehearsed.

In the beginning, we rehearsed more, but the band is not known for its polished, rehearsed arrangements.

 Guitarists should be able to pick up the guitar and play music on it for an hour, without a rhythm section or anything.

 I have a huge voice, so it's a bit more like a Janis Joplin vibe than a younger rock vibe. And I think that's what throws people because they don't know how to take me. Even critics - they don't know how to swallow me because they're like, 'Well, she came up like a total pop act',

 When you work in retail long enough, you get a vibe off people. We all got that vibe off of him.

 You could hear it when he ran out on the field, it was great with the crowd. You could feel the vibe in the stadium all of a sudden, and that vibe went through the team. Guys looked across and saw him coming on and it just lifted everyone.

 While we may not have been considered the best musicians on the scene, the combination of John's songs and the core of the rhythm section made us so strong.

 There was a long, traversing roller section on the course and I lost my rhythm and some speed and she went around me. Luckily, I was able to get back into the lead right at the finish.
