 Having so many people involved is a true challenge, but the atmosphere is electric. There is certainly something to be said about the intimacy of a small cast, but a large, enthusiastic and passionate cast brings a new, wonderful element to the production.

 He was one of the few people from SNL who realized that ensemble was the way for him to go. He never tried to break into major movie roles ... he really understood that this was his strength. He was a strong ensemble player, and really an original.

 I don't have the time to tell you all the things I've learned from this cast. It's an extraordinary ensemble because we all support each other so well.

 I chose this play because it has the ability for a large ensemble cast. I want to get as many kids on stage as I can.

 They said: O Musa! will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast? / He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment.

 A lot is going to be asked of this cast. We still have a number of roles to fill to complete the ensemble, but you couldn't hope for a better start than these incredibly gifted actors.

 It was very strange. We had obviously a lot more time to tell the story than we did when we were shooting the series. But ... to me it just felt like so similar ... to the show. ... Everything just felt a little more spectacular. It just felt a little grander, and there was a wonderful feeling of redemption to sort of come back with these people. It was this great reunion, and so it was a wonderful energy on the set.

 I loved the idea of having Paul Newman here, and that wonderful cast. I was particularly glad to see . . . that army of people, many of them local, who were set into motion by that film.

 Anything you do in a small ensemble, you can do at one of these concerts. Basically, a chamber ensemble is anywhere from one to 10 musicians and no conductor -- just musicians working things out among themselves.
