 It's hard to figure out what motivates people and it seems like a lot of high school sports, if you can figure out that trigger of whatever gets you going, once you get it going, you can't stop it. That's the way we are. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. Once we're going, you can't stop us. But if someone doesn't step it up, you see what happens.

 I think that is probably how he'll be judged in the short run. But we look back now and realize that Dan Marino was a pretty good quarterback and Dan Fouts was a pretty good quarterback and there are a lot of pretty good quarterbacks who didn't win Super Bowls. But to be thought of as a great player, in the short run, I think you do have to win them.

 These are not necessarily church kids. They're seekers. They're trying to figure out things, the bigger things of life, spiritual issues, how to live their lives.
