 The Internet as a tool means all the leading retailers are going to be on the Internet in the next couple of years. The pure selling concept over the Internet has proven not to work and the pure plays are gong to be surpassed by traditional retailers.

 [The industry has been pining for this kind of Internet for years, but it's] really starting to happen, ... The pioneers often get turned into fertilizer, and the rest harvest off them. It seems to be harvest time.

 One thing I learned at Apple, ... is that ease of use equals use. The Internet basically sat there unused for 20 years, and then somebody invented an easy interface -- Mosaic -- and e-mail went from hundreds of thousands a month to billions a month today. Think how useful the mobile Internet would be if it were just a mobile version of the Internet, instead of something degraded.

 This is a generation of consumers raised in the Internet era, where content is perceived as being free. Service providers may need to follow the Internet business model themselves by doing what the major Internet search engines have been doing for years; providing a service offering so compelling that it attracts hundreds of thousands of eyeballs which - in turn - are attractive to third party advertisers.

 We've come a long way in the last three years, ... Like I said, the name of the game in this business is being able to sell more cars than anyone else on the Internet or not on the Internet and be the low-cost provider.

 It's about the next generation of the Internet. No matter how far it may seem we've come in 24 years, we are only at the beginning. We have now seen two generations of the Internet.

 When he came out of the tunnel in the pregame warm-ups, the response was unbelievable. I had been in the National Football League for 18 years at that time, and I had never seen anybody get booed that loudly in pregame warm-ups. It just didn't stop. It was the worst thing I had ever seen, the dangdest thing I've ever seen.

 I guess we've always expected that Internet voice and Internet communications was going to be a hotly contested and competitive space. We've been doing this for a couple of years and seen our growth accelerate in the last few weeks.
