 Occasionally, they get grants or small amounts of federal money. They have to depend on their state aid by the number of students they educate. They have an even tighter financial arrangement than a traditional school system does.

 I can't speak for the board, but I think their intention is — because 1,600 students would be quite a number of students in one high school — they would be looking to have two high schools.

 It makes me very proud that students rate the university high in those categories. We know our students by name, not by number, ... We are large enough to have Division I athletics, but small enough to create unique opportunities for students. Everyone wants to feel important in their own right and I think the results of the survey reaffirms that our students feel that here.

 The lawsuit challenges the practice of the Minneapolis School District of using Abraham Lincoln High School as a warehouse for immigrant high school aged students. Students sat in mainstream classrooms for years, not understanding what was being said, or what was being taught.

 We've seen widespread action in the states in the space of a year. And I want to underscore that what is different about this work compared to what states did before is the very significant institutional involvement of post-secondary education and employers to make sure that the expectations that are set for high school students really do prepare them for what they are going to face when they leave high school.

 I'm quite proud of them. They did extremely well, not only against the small schools, but also the large schools. Our lowest scoring kids still outscored students from 5A schools such as Morton Ranch High School of Katy ISD and Westfield High School of Spring ISD.

 We also try to work with local high schools to educate the students about the importance of proper footwear and training. More importantly, we try to educate their parents.

 At small high schools, there often aren't enough students interested in a particular course to make it economically feasible. Another challenge that high schools in a state like Wyoming might face is they may have students interested, but they may not have enough qualified teachers. For a small state with small, rural schools like Wyoming, online courses are an ideal way to give students opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have.

 The rectors report that the dorm Sunday Masses are full this year and so are the Masses at the Basilica, where a significant number of students worship, ... The congregation at the 11:45 a.m. Mass is almost all students, and there are a significant number of them at the 10 a.m. and the 5 p.m. vigil Mass on Saturday.

 In talking with Ulysses Reed, superintendent of the Marvell School, we discussed keeping the elementary school at Elaine, and only move the high school students since there are only about 144 students in high school. The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. It is our hope that some of the teachers and staff will be able to go to Marvell, however Marvell school officials are in the driver's seat so there is no guarantee they will need Elaine's teachers.

 Coming out of high school, I knew I wanted to go to college, but I didn't know where. I didn't want to go to a small school because I like the big atmosphere. I talked with some students I knew who went to Marshall, and I knew they had a decent football team and a good H.E.L.P. program to help students, so I decided to come to Marshall.
