 I'm driving it better. I've always been a pretty good putter. It's kind of my time. I talked to Curtis Strange about this. What comes first, good scores or confidence? Good scores, I think.

 We had two really good scores. Brant's 71 and Carson's 72, that's really what won it for us. It was kind of shaky there on getting our third and fourth scores. When it comes to tournaments, I like four scores in the 70s. So that's something we have to address.

 He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. Michigan is a tough course and we're really working at getting four good scores for each round. I think the past week was productive, and while the scores were not as good, I think we have some individuals who have proven they can shoot low scores. If we can do that, we will be competitive with everyone this weekend.

 He was all we talked about at halftime and he comes out and scores 11 points in the third quarter. I guess he's a pretty good player.

 Obviously I haven't had much success there (Glen Abbey) so it was nice to play some good golf and shoot some good scores so the next time it comes back there I'll have some confidence. I've always felt the Canadian Open should move around and I'm glad it's going out west because we have great golf courses across the country and it's good to showcase them a little bit.

 It was pretty weird not to place anyone in the top six. The scores that were flying around were just incredible. There were 9.8 and 9.7 marks all over the place. I had to shake my head. These (opposing) girls are good but those are college and Olympic-type scores.

 I think our team's off to a pretty good start. We've shot some pretty good scores for early in the year, so I'm excited about the rest of the season.

 They're a good football team, let me clarify that. They're the new kids on the block, coming off a 0-10 season, but if you look back at their scores they're not giving scores up to anybody.

 This course is set up for my game. I feel very good on this course. I'm a very good lag putter and you have to do that here. My eye catches the slopes pretty well. That just comes from doing it for (so many) years. ... Around the greens, even though I'm not an incredibly good putter, I feel pretty safe.

 Having a team come in with three scores under 40 on a par 36 course is very good. Especially on a breezy day like this when the wind is blowing pretty good, it was a little statement by Lyndon. They came to play.

 If you take me and Denham, Rudy and Marcus, Hilton and Josh and put us on different teams, we're 20- to 25-point scorers. But put us here and we have to sacrifice for the greater good of the team. We don't worry about who scores this and who scores that.

 It was a good win; any win is a good win but your first is more exciting. The scores were good. They are close and they are good. If they can go that all year long, we'd win our share of matches.

 I feel pretty good about our position faring with other schools. Every time we tee up, I like to think that we get better. As we go into tomorrow we look to shave some strokes here and there. Four scores in the 70s would be great.

 Had we played the last six holes a little better, we would have been right there at the top. There is no doubt we gained confidence from this tournament, as well as a knowledge on how to compete for championships, which is equally important. Our focus this entire week was making good decisions on the course, and the girls did a very good job of that, which resulted in positive scores.

 Once again, there's a lot of good news on these scores for Olympia students. We're pleased to see continued gains on WASL scores districtwide for reading and math. Our students are making steady progress in these areas.
