 Some of those people are former players here. Some are coaches that have been around or people in the building. Or maybe it's just some of the people from Seattle who have followed the team since 1976. It would mean a great deal to them.

 Our players have opened up the eyes of many people that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team or be the biggest and strongest team to have a great team. There are a lot of great coaches out there who aren't totally appreciated because they couldn't get to the Final Four. We're especially proud to represent all those mid-majors who aspire to get here.

 There's a feeling that our players are misinterpreted and a little misunderstood because of various factors. Dress would be one of them. As a league, we know we have good people. We have great guys on our team. . . . I feel like what our team did last year (after the brawl) is a much better indicator of the character and quality of people in our league than anything else people might want to surmise in terms of perception.

 Those guys are consummate leaders, great professionals, great people. They weren't just great basketball players; they were great people to be around. ... [This organization] has a knack for finding them. It's nice to have great people, but you've got to win games. They've found a way to do both.

 People might not think of them as having all kinds of great players, but they've been together for a while and they do a great job of playing as a team. They have a lot of different people who can beat you. We're going to have to be at our best because these next two games are huge for us.

 She talks to all the other coaches and even the assistant coaches. She introduces herself to people. At the big meets there are these huge warm-ups with girls running into each other, and usually when people do that, they come up growling at each other. Joy will pop up and smile and say hello. She's a wonderful person first, then coincidentally happens to be a really great swimmer.

 The people who now vote in the polls – coaches and writers – do not have enough time to watch a lot of football. We wanted to take advantage of all this experience and expertise we have in these great former coaches. Who better to judge teams than the people who have coached the game?

 The best way to disrespect somebody is to just walk away from them. But that is the show business part of what we have to deal with, and to me it's wrong. It's a bad example for young people to see and it's not the kind of character and attitude that we want our players to represent this organization in, our owner, the Miami Dolphins ... or the people on the team who all have to suffer because of that.

 I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

 I think it just shows that we have great players on this team. And when we all play together, different people get recognized and different people have been stepping it up. So that's definitely a good thing.
