 Barring something unforeseen, at this point, we're probably going to be pretty quiet from now until the end of the World Series. It's still about getting the right guy. We don't want to rush the process and make the wrong decision. We have gathered more names to add to the list if we want to expand the search. With each conversation, you learn more about the game and more about what we're looking for in our next manager.

 I think what happens in this process is there is an initial search and so much work is required to satisfy the competing constituencies that once a list is assembled, few people want to give it up. Some of the names on the list are almost venerable by virtue of age and longevity. There is a certain comfort in going with what you know, but it may not be the best.

 We're not at that point yet, but ... it looks like we're going to hit it in June. That is, barring the unforeseen -- God knows who blowing up God knows what -- and if oil manages to stay under $100 per barrel.

 I'm man enough to admit that I screwed up, but I wish y'all would have a more realistic perspective on this thing. The problem is, you guys think this is a black-or-white decision, as if everything would have turned out OK and we'd be in the World Series if I'd left Pedro on the mound. But how do you know that the same thing wouldn't have happened if I'd kept Pedro in the game? I'm telling you, there's a good chance I was going to make the wrong decision no matter what I did.

 A lot of it is strictly media speculation. There are all kinds of names thrown out there. Ted (Thompson, Packers' general manager) has not given away any names whatsoever. He's just started the search. It's got a long way to go.

 I don't hire anyone. My job is to help the institutions. When you go into a football search, an athletic director has a list of names. Frequently, I may augment that list because of my broad contacts.

 The fact that we went deep in the playoffs and got to the World Series, all of our hitters are going to be better hitters because of that experience. Jason Lane's a better hitter. I was watching the World Series video over the weekend. Jason's at-bats in the World Series were pretty impressive. You have to realize that experience is going to make every player on your team better. They're experienced World Series players.

 At some point investors are going to cash in some chips. We are getting close to the end of the quarter, and we have to keep that in mind. The next few weeks will be as choppy as the last few, but I wouldn't expect, barring [unforeseen circumstances], the market to have too much risk.

 It's very easy to understand. You can point to many things: the technical side, the mental side, all sorts of different things -- on Saturday there were 35,000 people and an exciting atmosphere. Finishing on goal is not the easiest thing in the world. You get a split second to make a decision and sometimes it's the right decision and sometimes it's the wrong decision. Of course, we would like to score goals and we will.

 They've got to make the ultimate decision, ... At some point, you've got to decide whether you're going to leave J.P. in there and let him learn, or put Kelly in there and see what happens. It's up to management and coaches to make that decision. Hopefully, they'll make it easier on a lot of us.

 The reason why it's so great is because of the names on the list. Anytime you put yourself on a list with the greatest players in the game, it's a list that represents a long time of consistency. It's amazing.

 You have to make a decision at some point. Do you put J.P. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. in and let him learn, or do you put [backup] Kelly [Holcomb] in as the starter and see what happens? Hopefully, they make that decision and make it easier on a lot of us.

 When you come to a decision and all parties concerned, it's best to go ahead and talk with whoever you need to talk to and make that decision. Why not try to keep it quiet? ... Nothing's ever quiet. Any time a final decision is made on anything, if it's going to be public knowledge, try to get it out.

 At some point, I would just love to sit down and have a conversation with him and say 'Bruce, what happened and where did this all go wrong for you'. I think I have a relationship with him, that he would have that conversation with me.

 We're still shooting for December, barring anything major or unforeseen.
