 It?s clear that at the heart of the Utah lawsuit is an unwillingness on the part of the adult entertainment industry to take reasonable measures to keep pornographic e-mails from reaching children. We feel confident the court will agree.

 I'd like to see Utah correct its error on its own, rather than be forced to do so by a court. The Legislature is betting, potentially, millions of dollars that the Utah statute will stand up in court. Frankly, that's not at all clear.

 There is some good news in this report today, which is that this video game industry one has the best rating system of any entertainment industry. And it has done more to respond to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) report last fall that said that the entertainment industry was marketing adult rated products to kids,

 We always set a goal you feel very confident in reaching, and of course we're always hoping to surpass the goal. We were more ambitious on reaching this year's goal as opposed to prior years, and we felt very confident in reaching it.

 If it were only the federal government's lawsuit, it would be clear that the Appeals Court loses jurisdiction, ... The existence of the state suit makes it significantly less clear. But if the Supreme Court wants both suits, there is little doubt in my mind that it could take both of them.

 We will then withdraw our lawsuit, and we both agree to accept the results of the overseas ballots, ... That what's best for the country, that is what's reasonable.

 What we're trying to do is encourage the industry to take some steps soon, to do some self-regulation, based upon a tough report that was very clear as to the abuses and steps that have been taken by the entertainment industry that most Americans will feel are wrong,

 This conference is long overdue. The staggering progress in PC rendering and simulation technology that has been relentlessly driven by the game industry for years is now poised to turn the entire adult entertainment industry on its ear.

 MPTF has spent the better part of a century helping the talented people of the entertainment industry in too many ways to count. Cheryl and I feel privileged to be a part of the greater cause and encourage others to join the effort.
