I'm really optimistic. We gezegde

 I'm really optimistic. We know we have a good, solid package. It will hopefully be easier for us compared to other teams because we've already won the race, so we know basically how to do it. However, there's a new challenge, a new year, a lot more drivers and a lot more teams.

 We are really still learning in the Indy cars on the road circuit, ... Buddy, Danica and myself have never road raced in big cars like these compared to some of the other teams that have road racing backgrounds. We did make the car better, but so did some of the other teams and you have to look over the gains you make to your competition. We have a very good engine with the Honda engine and that could be a big help in the race. Buddy's car is much improved and we'll see how that works for the race. I like my car for the race right now, but we can still make it better. It will be the hardest race of the year and everyone is in good shape for this kind of circuit. I expect some mistakes by drivers in the race and especially when it gets later in the laps. If you are tired physically, you will make mental mistakes too.

 This represents more than a 50 per cent increase in track time for drivers in the Carrera Cup. Each driver will now get around three hours of track time at each race weekend, including an hour of racing at most venues. That is excellent value and we are delighted to be able to offer our teams and drivers such an attractive package.

 I think this race is going to be aggressive. There are a number of teams out there that have solid riders that are going make the race fast. They aren't going to sit in the pack and have the slower (teams) stay around. From the start, this race is going to be played out to be one of the fastest races in recent years.

 I think fans of those drivers just have to accept the idea that their teams just haven't been very good, very consistent or very lucky this year. It can happen. With only 10 qualifiers, good teams are going to miss the Chase every year. NASCAR will survive.

 I was pretty optimistic last year going into the season. The only thing different this year is I have my cousin working with me again. So, there is that comfort aspect and familiarity. It is easier to know what to expect this year, whereas last year, we were optimistic but uncertain about how well we were going to do. He (Tony) is really good at what he does. We are family and just communicate well, even though we don't always get that right either. For the most part, he is one of the best crew chiefs in the garage. He builds a great race car.

 If we can have a repeat of last year's race where we had all those famous, name-brand drivers from other series get their butts handed to them by one of our road-racing teams, that's a good start.

 We have to worry about a playoff spot. We've had a pretty good year, got a lot of wins. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

 We have to remember that we were 12-7-2 last year, not 17-3-1. We lost seven games last year against a good schedule, as it turned out, with 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. We went 6-6 against those 12 teams, so we need to be better than that. That's the challenge before the players. We just had a good year. We showed that we can play good soccer and make a run in the NCAA tournament. Now are we going to be able to reproduce the same kind of effort?

 Although our earnings were down compared to last year, first quarter results from most businesses exceeded our expectations. Overall current market conditions remain very good, and we are optimistic that 2006 will be another solid year for the company.

 There are changes every year, different personalities. This year, we're pretty close to each other compared to other teams. Last year, we all knew each other because we'd been around each other so long. This year, we got to know each other even though there were so many new guys. I was excited to have all these new guys come in. It was a challenge but refreshing to start again.

 For the drivers, it will not change too much. I think the challenge is more for the teams and engineers, finding the right strategy and working very quickly. Last year, we had one opportunity for a quick lap. Now, we have at least three occasions when we have to set a lap time.

 We have letters of intent from the teams representing more than 18 cars, we've got a television package ready to announce, as well as the confirmed 2004 race schedule. We believe the loyalty of the fans, teams, sponsors and promoters will be justified and rewarded when the current bankruptcy proceedings are completed.

 I can not argue with the other coaches choosing Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan as the top two teams this year. There is no doubt they should both be very good teams and both should make a solid run for the NCAA meet in November. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

 They've won some games but ... they're just beating up on bad teams, basically. It's not often that you all of a sudden see teams start beating good teams in the playoffs when they haven't done it all season. There is little reason to believe Miami can win the whole thing.
