Alex did a nice job. We had poor defensive mechanics. We weren't disciplined.

He didn't lose many batters. He did a good job of keeping the ball around the plate, keeping guys off balance, and we couldn't get the key hits when we needed them.

He got a little tired and started getting the ball up, but he was pretty much untouched.

We just couldn't get the offense going. We did hit the ball well, we got five hits, but Rifle played well and turned some nice double plays. It was that fateful third inning that hurt us. Eli Snead from Rifle nailed a huge home run right into the wind.

It was horrible. The wind picked up. It had to be like 10 degrees.
