Someone told me that their offensive line is the most experienced group of offensive linemen that they've had in the history of the school. We've got a group that I believe has made major strides from the first day of spring practice, but it's a work in progress. We're still trying to put the thing together a little bit.

With us, everything is sort of new, from a personnel standpoint. Simonitis is really the only one that was in the lineup on Opening Day a year ago.

They blocked us, there's no mystery in that, ... I didn't do a good enough job of getting these guys ready ? they must have been reading the newspapers too much and that's my fault. We've got to get better ? if you can't stop the run, you've got no chance to win no matter the level and we've got to get that done. By (the) time you get out there and it's game time, you're confident in your plan and you believe you're going to be successful. The guys who can separate what you can control and what you can't control are the ones who keep moving and don't crack. It's a battle, though, because of all the media attention and scrutiny.

It’s been difficult, ... but nothing we can’t deal with. The focus has been not as much on the big picture as the day-to-day, let’s get better and let’s see if we can find a way to win a game.

That's probably as talented a position as we've got on the team. That tight end group is pretty solid from top to bottom.

I really like it. I was a little skeptical the way we were doing it here and putting everything on the replay official in the box. But they've done a nice job if they thought that something might be incorrect of stopping it and taking a look.

I didn't think I'd like it as well as having that red flag. People say 'it's another decision for the coach.' Well, it's a good decision for a coach.

We played a lot of freshman and we're going to continue to do that.

I'm glad they didn't ask me to carry that thing in. But this a nice little tradition to start and it stays with us for a year. The players brought it into the locker room and it is a nice honor.
