Nobody expected a rate cut, but a few kinder, gentler words would have been nice. Such language might have buoyed the markets because clearly we are entering rough waters.

We have people worried about earnings.

The chances of this happening are improving, but that doesn't mean that it's happening right now.

The market has got to get its hands on this inflation issue. That's the way we're going to get out of this trading range.

I think the fear of interest rates being raised and the impact that would have on economic growth is public enemy No. 1 for stock sentiment right now.
