en These nights happen and as a goalie you just want to be solid and give the team a chance to win. We found a way to score a lot of goals against a great goalie.

en Are they bad mistakes by the goalie? No. But are they goals that we expect Marty to stop? Yes. And that's the difference. We can be an average or below-average goalie and just wallow along, or we can we be a really good one and give our team a chance to win, and that's the responsibility we need Marty to take. And he's done it in the past, so it's not as if we're asking for something that we don't know is there.

en I'll give (the younger players) advice leading up to the game on what to expect, like what the game day will be like so they're comfortable with the situation. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. The main thing is to be comfortable with the situation.

en It's not all about the goalie this year. There are going to be more goals this year, more power plays. It's not all about the goalie when teams score five or six goals a game.

en For our goalie, this is his first [Division I] college game. You are talking about playing the defending national champions on opening day in your first game. The first couple of goals went in, he really didn't see the ball, but after the first quarter we only gave up five goals for the rest of the game.

en The boys game is played with 10 players on a side — nine players in the field and a goalie. Much of our offense is like basketball. We run give-and-goes, pick-and-rolls and there's an element of hockey in that we play behind the goal.

en I wasn't very good tonight, either. The first two goals, man, those are ones that I normally have ... so obviously it starts with the goalie and if the goalie isn't making the saves he's supposed to, how can you really say anything about the rest of the team?

en When you look at the stats and see the goalie let up four or five goals a game, you wonder how good he is. But the shots he's taking and the saves he's had, he's keeping us in the game.

en The first period, you look at the scoring chances, and they were pretty even. Their goalie was better than our goalie. Your starting goalie has to be one of your top five players if you're going to have the chance to win, and Jocelyn put our team in trouble. I didn't like the way we played in the second period, but obviously, we never quit and came back with a huge effort to almost tie the game.

en The Alumni Weekend and the games on Sunday gave our players one more chance to get out on the field in a game situation before the fall and improve on what we have worked on throughout the spring. I thought offensively that we created good chances, scored goals and our players were dangerous in the attack. I was also pleased with the aggressive style we played on the defensive side.

en In their situation it's got to hurt a bit. But they had a lot of good chances and they didn't score. And to me, the next game ... I think they'll get their goals there. They can't be missing goals like this.

en He did himself proud for jumping into a big series. Friday, we didn't score any goals, and their goalie actually stole the game. On Saturday, they got three power-play goals.

en They play hard and have a good goalie. They have some good players that keep them in every game. They've been playing good hockey.

en It's maddening; I think that's the best word for it. ... I thought we could have scored 10 goals tonight, but (that's) no different than the Slovakia game (a 2-1 loss). We had back-door empty net goals, or we had chances in the slot that (the goalie) got a save on, or we hit him, or we missed the net.
