I think our team finally came together. We've been battling out of a slump and it's a special thing to have everybody come together at exactly the right time of the year. I think now we're going to get rolling and make a good run in the league and national tournaments.

I would have to say they are the team to beat in the National League. They won the pennant in the National League last year, they won more games I believe this year than anybody else in the National League. It will be a tough battle for us to win this series.

Tonight the offense was just rolling. We finally got rolling in the turnover situation. We've been quiet lately. Stanford has been such a stingy team. We wanted to turn that thing around. To get five and give none, we loved that.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have so many veterans – this team isn't just looking to Sidney Crosby to turn them around and make them a great team. I hope that Sidney improves. Let nature take its course as he becomes a star or a superstar. This kid is something special. He is a very, very special athlete and person. For some of us who have been around the league a long time, when someone like this comes around, we all count our blessings and hope he makes it because he is something special. I wouldn't say it was a slump. It just was not a good period. I knew I could still do this. It was just a matter of time, even though I was wondering when that time was finally going to come again.

We're battling, and that's all you can do. This time of year, you can't make any trades, you can't pick up anybody. You have your team. This is what you do. You go play.

The overall strength of the league is a subjective part of evaluation. When we go into the room, we're not concerned about league affiliations. Which league a team is in is not going to necessarily get a team in. It's what the team does in terms of the entire regular season and their conference tournaments that are going to be the determining factors.

Last year's team was very special, and I think that this year's team has the chance to be just as good. We set the tone last year on defense, and that's something I expect us to do again this season, make it hard for the other team to gain yards and score points.

Last year I got into a slump at a bad time because our team was desperate. We were losing a lot of games and they made a lot of moves during that time, and I was one of them. Instead of going with another team, I chose to stay home and get healthy to be 100 percent for Spring Training this year.

Give Texas credit for battling back. Our players are confident. They know when they're rolling that we're pretty good. The thing to remember is that you don't win a series in one game. This will be a marathon, not a sprint.

They have a good team. I think they're going to do well in league this year. We're 4-0 and I can't remember the last time we were 4-0. I think every year we say it's anyone's league but this year it's truly anyone's to win because as of right now, the teams we've seen don't have a big hitter.

It kind of let me know the hard work I put in during the summer time has finally paid off. I was in a little slump at the beginning of the year but I've started to pick it up recently.

I just didn't try to think about it [a sophomore slump]. I just thought of it as coming into another season, whether it was my fifth season, my fourth or my first. I just tried to make it look like that. Lucky enough for me I got off to a quick start. I think that was the main thing, not to fall into a slump early. I'm sure I'll fall into a slump somewhere down the road. I don't think this can last the whole season.

His affair has exposed the weakness in the national team's mental education. We have taken some steps to make the young players more aware of their national duties and try to make the affair a good thing on the preparation of Beijing Olympics.

It's probably going to be my last Olympics, that's why it's a little more special. The national team always has been a happy place for me. I really like our chances. You never know what's going to happen, that's why the tournament is so special. The gap between the No. 1 and No. 5 team is pretty much nothing. You're talking about two weeks of time. Whoever is going to be hot is going to have a great chance to win.
