I thought it was an important win for our team. It was a good team we were facing, one of the best in the conference. The fact we got the result helps the confidence of this team.

His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. I don't know if (the win) makes a statement, but I do know that it helps us as a team. It helps us to develop the confidence that we need to have in ourselves and validate that we are OK. That if we do things the right way, we can be a good team.

The fact they jumped out to a 5-0 mark in the conference gives them a lot of confidence. They have some really good players, and they have a legitimate shot at winning this conference. I think there's a large pressure on the team to have a much better result than they had against Italy the other day. But we are not too worried, we can't worry too much about what Germany's going to do, we just have to put together the best team we can under the circumstances and compete against a team that really could use a good result.

We have really played well since conference play started. It has been good for our psyche. Our team feels it is a capable team. More than confidence, we have some visual results to show for it.

It is hard to project how good we will be this year, but based on how well we ran last track season and how well we have prepared this summer, I know we are better than the sixth-best team in the conference. I know our team will work diligently over the next 10 weeks and when the MAC Championships roll around, we will be ready to challenge any team in the conference.

They were strutting a bit and laughing and flexing their muscles. We saw it, remembered it, put it in the back of our heads. We just wanted to come out and make a statement. But that's a very good team. A very disciplined team. A very, very well-coached team. It's a team we could see again at the conference tournament.

I didn't really believe we could do it, ... I thought the season was over. We went from being a team that had absolutely no confidence and was playing as poorly as any team in the league to a team that in one game switched everything around and turned into the best team in the league.
