We tightened up the passing lanes to try and limit their chances. We wanted to neutralize their athleticism.

They have a good defense. They force a lot of turnovers by overplaying and getting in the passing lanes. We had our chances, but we just didn't take advantage.

We knew that the key was to limit his touches. We thought that if we could limit the times he touched the ball, we could neutralize him.

LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. We just played the way we wanted to for three periods. We got away from it early and were trading chances with them and were playing sloppy defensively. As the game went on, we tightened it up. We won the battles we needed to.

I give credit to Natchez. At that point in time, it was all guts and hustle. They really wanted it. Our kids kind of got lackadaisical, and Natchez turned it up and showed they wanted this game. They were getting into the passing lanes and playing aggressive defense.

They got in out passing lanes. That's slow passing again, and it kills you. We weren't setting screens. We got lazy, and that's how we practiced.
