en I can not argue with the other coaches choosing Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan as the top two teams this year. There is no doubt they should both be very good teams and both should make a solid run for the NCAA meet in November.

en Illinois and Michigan State are both going to play pretty good defense. They're playing a little better than we are defensively right now, and I guarantee you both teams are going to run.

en It's a great opportunity for us to play teams that we don't get to see very often. The local teams (MA, Alabama Christian, St. James), we see them all the time. That's not a bad thing but it's good to be challenged by some different teams.

en I have to keep reminding myself there are a lot of teams out there that might not feel like NCAA Tournament teams because you're taking a historical perspective. When you sit down and do the math and start to look at the remaining teams, there really aren't that many teams vying for spots.

en We finished third at our invitational last year, so we'd like to step up and win it this year. St. Xavier and Hudson were both top-five teams in the state tournament last year and we've been close to those teams at tournaments several times this year. We're 2-1 against St. Xavier right now and 3-0 against Hudson, but I think any of us could win this.
