Credit their defense, but we need to take care of the ball. They shot 23 more shots from the field. They make a quarter of 'em, they win.

They're definitely fired up. They made Cathedral history. All their shots were fairly long shots. You can credit our defense for that. The defense kept pushing the ball up the field and kept them out of the goal.

I think it probably wasn't their defense as much as it was our shot selection. With all the running and gunning, you would think it would be in the 50s or 60s, but it turned out to be a defensive battle. They get a lot off of their pressure defense. We took care of the basketball and that gave us a better shot at them. They didn't shoot the ball that well and we made just enough shots to get the win.

We want to make them play against our quarter-court defense. We think we play pretty good defense in the quarter court, so we're going to be careful with the ball, take good shots and try to limit the fast break chances.

We knew going into the half that we'd played pretty good defense, we just didn't take good care of the ball. Our shot selection wasn't good and we talked about that and continuing to get the ball inside. Shots started falling for us. The kids kept going to what they needed to do.

Shots just didn't fall in the second half. I'll credit Jackson Center's defense for causing that. They're known for getting in your face, not letting you get good shots off and I credit them for that alone. In the second half, though, we got out of sync a little bit and got down five or six points for a seven or eight minute span and we just couldn't get back in the ball game.

We had a bad third quarter. We weren't able to get many shots, and that's a credit to Lemont's defense. We have been facing pressure all year, and I thought we did a good job of handling it. We had a lot of trouble in the half-court. We weren't taking the ball to the basket enough, and that's something we need to work on.
