en I'm looking for someone to step up and surprise me. The last two meets I've been surprised. You never know what these kids can do ... some are spotlight people and they perform when the lights are on.

en It's not a bad season. We surprised a lot of people. We had some kids step up. Any time you can do that it's not a bad year. We have nothing to hang our heads down about.

It's no surprise to anyone that you had at least 100,000 people in the city of New Orleans who are dirt poor, who don't have cars, who don't have access to public transportation, who don't have any way to get out of the city simply just because someone says there is a Force 5 hurricane coming, you ought to get out. If you didn't have the buses there to get them out, why should it be a surprise to you that they stayed?

en I am surprised at the number of kids who are leaving the school. That did surprise me. We don't know if we can ever resolve that particular problem.

en Both meets will be good indicators of where we are. We just have to continue to get better and we will be fine. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people come Big Tens.
