en He came out for track last year as a football player and didn't pay much attention to it. Now he is starting to think like a track kid. If he's winning a race he just eases up. Now he isn't just a football player running.

en If it's a situation where they don't feel I'm a starting player on this team, then I guess it would be good to go in a different direction, with no disrespect to either side. I think I'm basically going to be in the prime of my career the next couple of seasons, so I'm looking to take advantage of it.

en I was starting nearly every game, and I think that was a bit of a transition for me, especially having to bounce back the next day after losses. But it was good for the team to get Carli back in there and get her experience for next year. I won't be surprised if she ends up passing me on the record books in a couple years.

en But that's not me. I feel most alive when I'm being challenged, when there is pressure involved. I felt like I was dying as a football player. And I always felt that I've never met my potential as a football player in this league. I was hoping to get one more chance. I didn't think I would.

en It seems like about 15 years ago. The last couple years have been kind of rough. It's all behind me now. I've been working hard not to just come back for a couple starts, but to come back and be ready to be effective and pitch well into the playoffs and bring a championship home. I'm looking forward to getting back.

en Mike Logan is a football player. Mike might make a couple mistakes, but somewhere along the line you're going to feel his presence on the field. He has a way of making plays.

en A couple years ago I was going to back off and actually thought about retiring, but it keeps calling me back, and I'm going to keep going back as long as it calls me. I really think it has something to do with the good vibes that I feel I've spread through my performance and through the time that I've spent with fans.

One person writes that and then another person will and then it becomes true. I didn't feel that way. I felt like everybody was different.

en Just like we talk about the quarterbacks, some days you're going to have that. 'Peanut' had a great training camp. He hasn't played as well as he can the last couple (games). He'll come back. He's a good football player.

en This guy is a good football player. And whether he's a corner or a tackle or whatever, if he's a good football player, we talk about it. We just feel like it's our due diligence to do our homework. And I'm sure that's what's going on.
