There's nothing to hang ordtak

There's nothing to hang our hat on as to what they're going to do. But they are pretty decent on offense. I think they have a few more athletes on that side of the ball.

I thought, on the defensive side of the ball, we're going to be pretty decent again. We're pretty green and have some young kids that are learning on the run a little bit, and there were some mistakes here and there, but they're going to be pretty good.

You've got to always want the ball, ... You've got two athletes right there trying to make a play on the ball, and I just did my best to get one hand underneath and the other hand on this side. Luck was on my side. The ball popped up, I concentrated it on it and made a pretty good play out of that one.

You don't have to hang out all the time, but you've got to have a little bit of a relationship there to have a positive side of the ball, offense or defense. I think it's starting to get out of proportion.

We found a little bit of a groove on offense, but we didn't hang onto the ball. We moved the ball pretty well, but we weren't consistent enough to win. Penalties and turnovers kept us from winning the game.

I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. He had the knack for being able to put the bat on the ball. They would bring in side-arming left-handers and he'd go up there and stroke the ball the opposite way. If they would hang a breaking ball, he'd hit it out of the ballpark. He was one of the better hitters I've seen.

Hurry up offense is our best offense. It's what we do best. We just wanted to get the ball down on their side of the field and run down the clock.

We need to do our jobs. That is the biggest thing. We need to hang on to the football and make our blocks. Football is a pretty basic sport and we didn't get the basics done last week.
