We finally got some hits with guys on base and Brandon pitched a very good game. Brandon got first-pitch strikes on 18 of the 24 batters he faced.

I tell children from all over the country that it?s good to eat healthy and nothing to be ashamed about. They know me from the Subway commecials and can relate to what I?m saying. Here at the Little League World Series you have a great age group that I?m sure wants to stay healthy, but not all are sure how to do it. Ultimately they make the decision, but parents need to educate their children on what?s good and not good to eat.

I think that's the coolest thing about him. After 22 years of doing it, he comes out here and he's just as eager to pitch in this game as I imagine he was in the World Series. He's a competitor. That's why he's so good.

He didn't have to answer anything from me. As long as he's healthy, he's a good pitcher. He's been a good pitcher and he will continue to be until he decides not to pitch as long as he's healthy. And he's very healthy. I understand what happened last year and we all know why. But he's too good a pitcher not to be good. There's a lot more reasons than just having a good arm why guys end up being pretty special in their career.

It was good to have him back out there. He wasn't as sharp, but it's been two weeks. He's fine. He's healthy. He feels good. Any time you pitch against this team, I don't care how good you are, they test you. They make you earn everything you get and he did a nice job for us.

Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

It seems like we're in the late game an unusual amount of times compared to maybe some other schools. I guess that's a good thing that people want us to be in that game. Or maybe they're trying to keep women and children from being exposed to some of the stuff that we do on the court, and hoping everybody's asleep by the time we play. I do think it's difficult on the players.

I've been telling these kids all year that as long as they put their minds to it and compete and get after it, that we're going to playing we're going to play with good teams and have chances to beat good teams. Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

You don't know how bad I was hoping to pitch in this series. I have no ill feelings toward anybody here. My time ran out, and that's unfortunate because I loved it over there.

The game is not a blockbuster title in the video game market, but as far as poker goes, (World Series of Poker) is the title you want to have. Activision is doing well with Tony Hawk, and World Series of Poker is just a good game to have in their system.

In the first inning he started off a little shaky. I didn't see good velocity. I didn't see what we were hoping to see. But after the first, he seemed to pitch a lot better. Something happened out there, and he was as good as we've seen in a long time and I'm pretty happy about that.

Brandon has been playing pretty well in a lot of different areas and, obviously, on special teams, ... His game as a receiver is starting to form up. You can see it on film. You can see that he's healthy again. He's running with speed and making some good cuts.

We go through the thousands and give judges a sampling of the city. There's no quota. We send through who we think is good. I'm hoping the Red Sox will be in the World Series when we come back.

Today was a good day. It felt really good to get hit for the first time. I was a little nervous on the first series, but after the second series when I got into a rhythm, everything was good for me. I didn't get the 10 to 15-yard run, but I got the touchdowns, and I'm satisfied with that.
