en I've had people tell me they started taking basketball seriously when we went to the Final Four.

en That was typical Pistons' basketball. We got what we wanted and tightened up on our defense, started taking some things away from them and the ball started going in. We just sort of willed our way.

en We really did a horrendous job of taking care of the basketball. I thought the difference was us not getting to the foul line, and turning the basketball over. We were very sloppy with the basketball. There's no excuse. There's no other way of describing it or analyzing it. It's something that has to be corrected for us to win on the road.

en Congratulations, you've made it to the final eight. I'm not looking at a state championship. I just want to get to the final four. If you get to the semifinals in high school basketball, you've accomplished something.

en Everyone was outside. [Some people were] sitting under the Arbor table umbrellas doing the final [together], thinking they could get away with it, while people were throwing up and crying and shaking and calling family and friends, taking pictures.
