en They played at No. 4 doubles last year and played well together. The good thing is we'll get them both back next year.

en We played a good match. We had to fight back in doubles. We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point, and I think that took a little wind out of them (Arkansas). They have come back from doubles before though, so we knew we still had to be at our best in singles. We were great in getting the first sets on four of the courts. We were competitive at every position, especially at Nos. 1 and 4, and Pablo played his best match of the season.

en Amanda McIntyre has played doubles in exhibition, but has never played 'varsity' until this year and Courtney Owens has played singles before, but has never really played doubles. Those two are really playing well together. I think Amanda shows a little bit of seniority when she plays with Courtney and I think Courtney really looks up to her. They still have some kinks to work out but they are learning.

en Outstanding singles player for the girls was Hoffman and in doubles were Diaz and Gomez. Morgan played a tough match and showed why she was a regional qualifier last year. Alejandra and Schabrian played very smart doubles and I was very pleased with their performance.

en I think these are good changes. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. I have already played some doubles and will continue to do so in the future. More singles players will probably do like me and play more doubles under the new format. Also, it will be good because doubles will be played on the main courts and will be better exposed.

en Overall, we played a pretty good opening weekend tournament. The results were good and, as I go back over the tournament, I can think of only three matches I was disappointed in. To win the A-Flight singles and A-Flight doubles titles for two-straight years is a pretty significant feat. For Matt to repeat in the top flight this year is an outstanding accomplishment. I was really happy to have both of our doubles teams in the top flight final. Tony and Jarrod had a great doubles tournament.

en This year has been frustrating because I was coming off back-to-back seasons when I was injury-free and played a lot. Every year I've been healthy and had over 500 at-bats, it's been a good year. That's what I'm looking forward to next year.

en If everybody comes back like I'm anticipating, we've got a great chance of doing it again next year. The scary thing is we still this year haven't played our best ball. I think if everybody comes back, next year we'll be an even better team.

en Our doubles teams played extra smart, hitting to the open court and attacking the net, just the way good doubles should be played.

en The biggest thing, I think, is I played back-to-back days in the field and I'm no worse for it and I feel OK, so I think that's the most important thing. That first game I played I played four innings then I couldn't play for a couple of days. Now, I've played four innings back to back so that's good.

en Doug and Tyler at one doubles lost their first set then bounced back to win. That was a big one for us. This was the first time Tyler has played doubles this year and the first time we have paired the two together.

en 2003 was a great year but I played a lot more as I played doubles as well and until I reached Toronto I didn't lose before the semi-finals. But after my injury this is definitely the one that stands out for me.

en I was really pleased with how we played. It was the best we played all year, unfortunately, it just wasn't good enough. Batavia is a very good team year in and year out. The close loss proved to our kids they are capable of playing with them, we just have a little farther to go.

en If I have to play Wand in singles because someone gets hurt, he's better off because he played a competitive match. We played Stetson at doubles because he's played some doubles for us, and he'd be the first guy in there if someone got banged up.

en Beijing has treated me well, ... I won the challenger last year in singles and won the doubles here last year too. I played well in singles here this week and won the doubles again so I've felt very comfortable here in Beijing.
