en Our defense played really, really well. We pretty much held them the rest of the way (after the 40-yard pass play).

en They play passionate defense. They get off blocks faster than anyone we have played and I'm not saying that because they are our next opponent. They make very few mistakes defensively, and if there's a 50-yard pass, you'll see the defensive linemen running down the field.

en I don't know what (people think) the problem is with the run defense. I thought we've been playing the run pretty well. Obviously, we gave up the long (68-yard Tatum Bell) run (in Denver). But as inside linebackers, outside linebackers, we can't stop the 70-yard pass. So someone has got to be responsible.

en Our top priority this week is to play good defense because Alton can beat you in a lot of different ways. They can play ball control, grinding it out for eight or nine minutes, or they can complete a 70-yard pass, like they did against us last season. Our defense is going to have to be ready for anything.

en Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor. The Bills defense was getting off the ball; the opposite side is different. They just played bad, but they're a good football team. Their defense is good; they ended up strong last year. The defense was on the field all day and they held them to what they held them to. That's excellent.

en We spread them out and made the extra pass in the second half. The first half was one pass and one shot. You got to at least make them play defense, we didn't do that in the first half. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. We could have been pretty dangerous tonight if we played all 32 minutes.

en The team came out fired up to play Cal State Bernardino and we've always had good games with them in the past. We were up 7-1 at the half and held up the rest of the way. We executed counterattack really well and played really good defense.

en I was encouraged by some of the things our defense did. They will get nothing but better. We have some young people playing at spots and I think they played pretty well. All in all I would have to say the defense held up their end of the bargain.

en Toward the tail end of the third, we started getting back to our game. We usually run the floor pretty well, pass pretty well and play pretty good defense.

Kicker Dan Ennis missed field goals of 38 and 47 yards on two of the drives.] I think it's a credit to our defense to be able to stop them after turnovers on our side of the 50-yard line, ... Turnovers on the 1-yard line are also hard to overcome. That's not us.

en We need to come to practice consistently at a higher level all week so we can bring that to the games. We have to play better; Princeton just doesn't make mistakes. Offensively, they're not as good as us but they pass and play defense. If we pass and play defense we'll beat them. It is as simple as that.

en Talon was huge. He'd go for 2- and 3-yard runs, then he'd break some long ones. Our offense held onto the ball for a long time in the second half. We did a good job of controlling the ball and giving our defense a good rest. We only gave up 85 yards rushing.

en Great teams find ways to win. When the shots don't fall, you have to play defense. We held them to two baskets in the second half. We played tremendous defense, and then we got the rebounds when they missed.

en Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.
