I have a big wound, but I am well and now it is necessary to wait and see how I feel tomorrow. I do not know how these cuts will affect me. I am very motivated and if this does not prevent me from riding tomorrow, I'll go forward. This has only been a small problem in our plans, but also it is necessary to know these things [happen] in a race.

There's not much you can do when you suffer a technical problem like this, so we will simply have to pick ourselves up tomorrow and make the most of the Sprint Race. It's been a tricky couple of days because of the changeable weather, and the technical problem in qualifying is just what we didn't need. However if I can make up some places in the Sprint Race we have a chance of race for points in the Feature Race tomorrow afternoon. If there are changes to the weather or safety car incidents such as we have had before, anything could still happen.

He's not riding today and he isn't riding tomorrow either. He's just very sore and bruised and didn't feel up to race-riding today. We will see how he is for Monday.

(Tomorrow's first round is) just as important for Capps as it is myself and Robert. (The Mopar/Oakley Dodge Stratus) has been the most consistent, the quickest, or right next to the quickest every single run. Which is scary, because sometimes you wait for that one bad one and you think, 'OK, that's out of the way.' We've done well when we've made four qualifying runs in the past, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. No one knows. It's gonna be a hell of a race tomorrow.

I guess it's just more cars for us to pass. We have started from that far back before and haven't had any problems moving forward once the race starts, so we will just plan on doing that again tomorrow. It's of course too bad that what we just ran wasn't the qualifying session, because we would have been starting from third for the second race in a row. But the car is strong, so we'll just go for it tomorrow.

Brian Frisselle

The team has done a fantastic job to get us on the front row of the grid and I have to thank them for that. Things were looking a lot less positive yesterday when we were really struggling to find a good set-up. His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. A lot of hard work was done overnight and tomorrow looks promising, but let's wait and see. This is always a tough race but I'm certainly looking forward to it.

I definitely feel like I'm ready. I can't wait until tomorrow ... . I just can't wait for it to happen.

We think she will be racing tomorrow but we will make a final decision at 9am tomorrow. Of course, she wants to race - she was crying when she missed the downhill - but we'll have to wait and see. Between health and racing, health is more important.

I don't think it would be prudent on our part to wait to see what's going to happen. You try to make sure if we started tomorrow if Rocket wasn't here, you'd feel like you'd have a good team.

Phil Garner (1949-)

I feel good about tomorrow and seventh isn't such a bad place to start the race from. I would have liked to be a position or two higher on the grid but I'm looking forward to it.

I had the clutch pedal depressed, but the car slowly started to creep forward and the engine stalled. So another mechanical problem took us from a race that I feel we had the car to win. We just cannot continue to have these things happen.
