en We're confident in our goaltender there and we've got a lot of guys who can put the puck in the net.

en He looks real confident out there when he's got the puck. You can tell that the other teams are backing off when he's got it. When he's got the puck he's hanging onto the puck, beating one or two guys. He's drawing two guys, too, to him, so he's just going to create so many chances -- if he's not going to score, other players around him are going to score.

en I told our guys that they have to stand in front of the net, not off to the side, ... You have to create traffic; you can't let the goaltender see the puck.

en He gave our guys confidence and he really was probably a little intimidating to the shooters on the other team. They were trying to make the perfect play rather than just shooting the puck at the goaltender.

en He saw the puck and got a couple of deflections. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. Anytime you read the deflections and make the saves, you know you're seeing the puck well as a goaltender.

en Everybody shrinks the box. The [defensive] triangle is so tight now that everybody is blocking shots off the perimeter shots. And if you have a good goaltender, he just becomes that extra guy. And the guys are impatient trying to score, and they try to blast it through the goaltender. It seems to be anyway that the down low play doesn't work any more.

en He puts the puck into areas where he knows guys are going to fish at it, and then when they go to fish at it, he brings it around and sneaks by guys. He uses his body well to protect the puck and then he rolls off of guys very well, makes tight turns, and takes it to the net. That creates a lot of room for other guys on his line, because if you beat a guy towards the net, sometimes another guy is going to challenge, and once that guy challenges, something else opens up.

en He fits the bill of a puck-moving, power-play defenseman that can get the puck to our forwards and can also rush the puck. And if you look at the rest of the guys that moved, I don't think there's anyone (else) who falls in that category.

en They turned the puck over inside the blue line and it was almost a three-on-one for us. Their goaltender kind of cheated on the play and Danielle roofed it.

en I'm very impressed with the way Mo is progressing. He's been terrific. He's very poised with the puck and physical. Other than goaltender, defense is the toughest position. And it seems he's made the jump.

en Nobody shot the puck like Brett did. He transformed the way a generation of players shot the puck. He perfected the one-timer. It was transition in the game. He had great input into how guys would shoot the puck.

en Cory Schneider is a very good goaltender and we seemed to have some kind of bad puck luck. It seemed to bounce against us. He was very, very good, particularly in the 5-on-3 and some other opportunities we had (in the third).

en He left [feeling] good when he left here. He was on the ice for almost 50 minutes today, did every goaltender activity without the puck and the next phase is stopping pucks.

en There isn't a better goaltender in the game right now. Period. And from my perspective, there hasn't been for the past two years. He's just very, very comfortable with his game and now he's getting the help from our blue line to cut down on the traffic and to let him see the puck as often as possible.
