Our quickness came through for us in the end. We lost two seniors to foul trouble and our younger players really answered the call.

My younger kids are great. They did whatever they could to make those seniors better. Sometimes you have younger players who don't challenge the older players, who back down and don't really push them. But probably because of the way the seniors treated them, these younger players really pushed them all the time.

We've got four seniors this year who are giving us some good leadership. We lost three, but we gained four. And we've got some younger players who are hitting the ball just as well as anybody.

I knew we were going to have some trouble with their press, but I thought we handled it OK. We got in some foul trouble that hurt us and we changed the way we wanted to play. But our younger kids came in and did a nice job for us.

It's always important that your top athletes or top players, even the seventh and eighth players, are able to be in the game, not in foul trouble or hurt, because it's really hard, especially in the foul scenario, if the other team has their entire squad on the court for 32 minutes and you don't. That's a big advantage.

Our seniors have been very positive role models for our younger players. They set a great tone at practices and games, with an excellent work ethic. They've shown our younger players what it takes to succeed at this level.

It all starts with our seniors. We have a very talented group of seniors, and we have some younger players we are also counting on. We just have to continue to get better.

Our seniors played like seniors this season ? with a lot of leadership. And our younger players are very mature for their age.

You have to use your quickness, your pump-fake game, to get inside of them and try to get them in foul trouble. Playing against big bodies all night is kind of tough. You have to try to wear them down.

If we didn't do that (go small), we lose. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Had we walked up and down the floor with them and let them pound it inside, we would have been in much deeper foul trouble, and we would have had nothing on the offensive end. I'll always give up rebounding for defense and great quickness.

I got into foul trouble early and never got into the flow of the game. The foul trouble is very frustrating, and I knew when I saw (referee) Bob Delaney I was going to be in trouble anyway. We did still have chances to win the game; we just made mistakes you can't make in this building.

Shaquille O'Neal (1972-)

The key was (Julie Drescher and Michelle Wilson) got into foul trouble and we got out of sync and got in trouble. We didn't respond the way I thought we could. That's something we have to make sure we do, and we have in the past. We have players capable of getting it done.

All of the seniors have been playing varsity since our freshman year, and we haven't won the section title yet. Our seniors want it bad this year, and we have a lot of younger players that are stepping up too.

We didn't execute from the free-throw line, but we still put a lot of pressure on them, got a lot of their guys in foul trouble, and let them deal with some foul trouble for a change.

They played an absolutely great game. They did what they had to do defensively. It didn't help us that Shaquille got in foul trouble. Any time he gets in foul trouble and has to sit down, it sets us and him back.
