I don't think we should get too carried away with throwing people under the bus. It's an unfortunate situation and something that will be taken pretty seriously. Wayne Gretzky is a pretty well-respected guy and he deserves that.

Hockey is the ultimate team sport. You have to have all of the pieces working together. My example is I always use is Wayne Gretzky. He would often be in front of the net and get the puck from two guys who were getting the heck pounded out of them in the corner. They were making a lot less than him. They get bloody. Gretzky puts the puck in the net and he gets the glory.

It's special to even be mentioned with such great players. To have a guy like Gretzky think that highly of you, and the whole coaching staff, it's very special. I guess you get rewarded for success and hard work. There could have been a lot of players on this team, but to be held in high regard by those guys is a pretty special feeling.

For anybody out there that thinks Wayne Gretzky gambled, or was a part of that, is absolutely wrong. Wayne should go to the Olympics because he's done nothing wrong, at least that's my opinion. I had a great conversation with Wayne as I jumped on the plane to come to Turin and Wayne's excited. He's really excited about coming here to Turin and heading the men's team. Wayne should be here. He's been the leader of this team from day one.
