en She had a great day today. She had two good at bats before the seventh and created some good momentum for herself.

en We needed that. We got a good performance out of John (Flanagan) on both accounts and our hitters just did a great job today. We had good at bats and we're capable of doing that. Today was a good day to break out.

en We've been fortunate in that we have relied on big innings to pull out some wins. It's a little dangerous to live like that, but it's worked out lately. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

en Sometimes you'd love to say you had a great offensive day because you scored 10 runs or something. But sometimes you score five runs, but every at-bat is a good at-bat. ...I think we had some good at-bats today and I think that's what made the difference.

en We have been trying to learn mental toughness. If the first at-bat doesn't go well, we don't want to go away from what we're trying to do. Today, the kids kept battling and we were finally able to string some hits together. We have struggled this season to put together some good at-bats in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. We've had a tendency not to do it, and that is the mental toughness we want.
