I really think we worked them on the offensive end and we really wanted to work them on defense. Then we went inside and out to try and get a two or a three instead of in the first half where we relied on threes.

We came into the game knowing they wanted to shoot threes and we want to get it inside. That was their biggest concern: Us scoring inside. Both times we played them previously, we scored 28 and 30 points inside. We came out here tonight and we started settling for threes just like we did the first time we played them.

The second half, I told them they have to defend every possession. Don't rest on defense and don't get impatient on offense. If you get behind, you have to be more patient than if you're ahead. We made a conscious effort to work the ball inside, where we had an advantage. Hagen hit those three threes and everybody loosened up.

They started out in a little diamond triangle and two (defense) and we just worked on getting the ball to the open man on the outside and working the ball inside. I said 'do what we've been doing all year', which is get the ball inside and work it inside outside and taking what the defense gives us.

The big question I had coming in was how well they shot it. We knew the (Aaron) Snyder kid could shoot, but we wanted to pack it in inside, and then they hit six threes the first half.

I thought we had the advantage inside, so we wanted to go into the post. We wanted to make sure we ran a lot of different offensive sets, and give them a lot of different looks. And it worked to our advantage.

We've identified a couple of things to work on and one was to step up our effort on defense and not to allow the amount of offensive opportunities. Our defense really worked hard against Cheshire and I think we really frustrated them.

We got some offensive rebounds in the second half and the fact that our half court defense was better ... particularly from Ivory Clark. He made Brandon Roy work for everything he got.

We gave up some easy threes in the first half. Like everyone else, we get hurt when we allow penetration inside and the other team is able to kick the ball out. We have to work harder on controlling penetration.

That was unbelievable. Thirteen threes is awesome. But Ames made threes from three or four steps from behind the 3-point line right there. He has a quick release and wanted it tonight so give him credit. But it was not us not covering them, especially in the second half.

Early in the first half they were hurting us. They were getting offensive rebounds [off threes]. One of my pet peeves this whole week was keeping them from getting second shots from the long ball. The first half they were shooting a second and third time and we can't have that.

We're playing good defense right now. But, the main thing is that we've been shooting the ball a lot better than we had been. The last two games I think we hit 15 threes (and) that helps loosen things up inside. We have to have an inside presence in order to get open shots outside against Sioux Falls.

We really came out ready to play, especially on the offensive end. I thought we got some great ? not good, great looks early and we were stepping into our shots. The ball went inside-out and I thought we were really making the defense work. I believe we went into halftime with 10 assists and three turnovers and giving up no offensive rebounds. When you do that, it's usually a recipe for success.

(Getting the ball inside) has been a goal of ours the whole second half of the season. We have some physical kids, so we really wanted to improve our offensive rebounds per game. We have a little bit of a size advantage, so we really want to go at that.
