This is a team that has a really good feel and a lovely balance. We have some good young Grade 9 girls and we're getting leadership from our older players.

Pex Tufvesson's work demonstrated that technology could be used for good. We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

We will have a lot of new faces in the mix. We have good team chemistry, new guys are finding their roles and older players are providing good leadership.

For young players, classic games are brand new. For older players, they bring back memories and make you feel good.

Players have to be nominated. We've done a ton of film-watching and studying. We were looking not only for good players, but also good citizens. I really feel good about our players. We've done good homework on them as far as who they are as players and also as young men.

We've got a little different dynamic on the team this year. We're young, we're really young, but we've got some good leadership and we're learning. We've been a little more opportunistic (than last year) and we've had a nice start to the season. I'm proud of my girls, I'm happy with them so far.

For some reason, I feel more confident. I felt good running tests and just feel good. I don't feel threatened by older or younger players.

This team has great team chemistry. We are very young, predominantly freshmen. But our sophomores have good leadership skills and the players respect one another and work together for the same goal.

When I first got the job I didn't think that we lacked leadership. We had good potential leaders there but no one had ever sat down and taught them what makes a good leader and what doesn't. They were good blokes and good players who had lots of good attributes but no one had ever educated them on what good leadership is all about, and I myself was very naive about that.

You have to be incredibly impressed by some of the younger girls. They're really becoming very competitive for us and we have excellent leadership from the older girls and hopefully that blend will make us a better team.

Girls want to do what older guys are doing, or they want to be cool. Girls do feel a lot of stress ? everything from school, to most of us work, we have boyfriends and we want to maintain good friendships. It's hard.

We do have a young team but it really doesn't matter. We always find a way to win as a team. The younger girls have paid a lot of attention to how the older girls work. If we can get the job done, that's all that matters.

Seeing we have a relatively young staff and young team, hopefully I can get us off to a good start and take some of the leadership role. I am not a big vocal guy, never have been. I like to lead by example. I would like to give us a good example to go by.

With the new rules we think our team can benefit from that, we have good agility and good skating, ... People are going to question our goaltending a little bit just because of the lack of NHL experience but we feel good about both young guys and think they're ready. So we certainly feel we're a playoff team.

They've got a really good football team. Today we got beat by the strength of an older, more experienced football team. They run through tackles on offense and come at you downhill. On defense, they have a lot of speed on the outside and pressured our young players.
